Dry and warm in the east and south later in the week, wetter and windier north and west

Generally turning drier across much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland as the week progresses. It is going to become warm too as the sun breaks through. Wetter in Ireland and western Scotland with rain, sometime heavy and stronger winds too. Probably staying wetter in the west early in the new week with the east gradually slipping into more unsettled weather too.

Thursday 12/10/17
A ridge of high pressure brings some fine autumn weather across many parts of England and Wales on Thursday. There could be some early mist but this clearing quickly. Cloud and outbreaks of rain in western Ireland and western Scotland with increased winds here. Western coasts of Wales and southwest England could have some low cloud and mist at times. Feeling warm in the sunshine at 20C in southern and eastern England, 15C in the west.


Friday 13/10/17
An increased southwest flow through Friday as front slips south bringing some rain to Scotland, Ireland and northwest England. Western coasts having a tendency towards lower cloud and drizzle. Drier in more eastern and southern areas with some bright or sunny spells, although southern coasts could see some low cloud too. Highs at 15 to 20C.
 


Saturday 14/10/17
Pressure builds across the near continent on Saturday. A ridge of high pressure extends into the UK bringing bright and dry as well as warm weather into England and Wales together with eastern Scotland. A few spots of drizzle in western Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 20C in the sunshine to the south, 15C in western Scotland.
 


Sunday 15/10/17
Fronts bringing rain and stronger winds into Ireland and western Scotland on Sunday. It is likely that eastern Scotland, most of England and Wales should be dry with some sunny spells here. Brisk winds in western areas too. Highs at 20C in the south and east, 16C in western Scotland.


Monday 16/10/17
Fronts are likely to bring cloud and some outbreaks of rain in Ireland and Wales as well as southwest England. tending to be drier in the north and east with a few bright or sunny spells. Highs at 15 to 19C.

Tuesday 17/10/17
Perhaps turning more unsettled in the west on Tuesday. Eastern areas should be drier with some bright or sunny spells. Breezy in the west too. Highs at 15 to 19C.
