Morning Call - October 18, 2017
Mild & damp
Lots of cloud

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 18th October 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cloudy and damp but mild for most

Good morning,

It's going to be a rather cloudy and damp day across much of England and Wales. Most of the drizzle and outbreaks of rain affecting more southern and eastern areas of the country. Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland should be drier this morning although still with plenty of cloud and an odd spot of drizzle on hills.

Staying damp and cloudy through this afternoon in most of England and Wales with low cloud on the hills. It may be that the rain is more persistent over the hills of Wales and northern England. Feeling warm in the south and east, fairly mild elsewhere too. The best of any brightness in central Scotland.

Tonight sees outbreaks of rain and drizzle in central Scotland but becoming drier in England and Wales. Stronger winds and heavier rain arrive in western Ireland later.
