Morning Call - March 29, 2017
Cloudy and murky
Drizzle in west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 28th March 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Mild and murky, most rain and drizzle in the west

Good morning,

A mostly, muggy south to southwest airflow is covering the country today. The westtest of the weather is likely to be in the west whilst more eastern areas tend to stay drier. Sunshine is going to be in short supply though with most of us seeing plenty of cloud.

It will tend to become more damp as the day progresses in western parts of Scotland,. England and Wales. A few moderate or heavy bursts of rain over windward coasts and hills of Wales an western Scotland as well as southwest England. At the same time, despite some drizzle and showery rain in the morning, Ireland will start to see some drier and brighter weather arriving in the west.

More eastern and central parts of Engand and Scotland start the day mostly dry. Drizzly bits of rain affect the southern Uplands and then during the afternoon these drizzly areas spread into northeast England. There could be some drizzle too in central and southern England later with coasts of the west and south becoming increasingly murky.
