Very wet in southern Europe, staying cold to the north


Saturday
Into Saturday and low pressure continues to dominate across much of Europe, bringing rain and showers across Spain and Portugal and also up into France as well but with some sleet and snow possible here.
Low pressure continues to dominate through the Med bringing further rain and showers to Italy and surrounding countries, but perhaps somewhat drier across Greece and rather mild here as well. Cold, if not very cold weather persists across more northern areas of Europe through Germany, Poland and up into Scandinavia with further flurries.


Sunday
A wet day in Portugal with some heavy rain in the west. The rain affecting northwest Spain too. A further area of rain in central and southern Spain with yet more in eastern areas as well as in the Balearics. Corsica and Sardinia are in for a wet day with this rain extending to western Italy later. Greece should be fair with some sunny spells, whilst turk has snow in the north although the south is fair.
Rain through much of France, heavy in the east. Cloud and some outbreaks of rain in the Low Countries, with most of Germany being dry with broken cloud. Sunny spells and mostly dry weather to come across Poland and Austria as well as Hungary. Switzerland may have some cloud and rain in the west.
Sunny spells and fair across Denmark. A fair day too in the baltic States although cold here. More cold weather for Finland, whilst snow showers affect northern Sweden. Norway should stay dry but will be cold.
