Friday
Cloudy and murky for much of England and Wales on Friday morning. Rain in the east and across parts of southern Wales, the southern Midlands and southern England with cloud shrouding hills. Brighter for much of Scotland, although cloud in the south with rain in the southwest. Drier for much of Ireland too, but some rain and drizzle over southern coasts. The afternoon sees the rain become more persistent through northern England the eastern Midlands and East Anglia. Rain in south Wales, but the far south of England should be drier, some brightness in the far southwest. Ireland is cloudy still, whilst rain in the far south of Scotland is reluctant to move further north, much of Scotland therefore dry. Highs at a cold 10 to 12C in the cloud in England, Wales and southern Ireland, but to 21C in the sunshine in western Scotland.

Friday Night
Cloud and some outbreaks of rain and drizzle through central and northern Ireland as well as northern England tonight. Murky with some fog on hills. Broken cloud and mist for the rest of England, Wales and southern parts of Ireland. Some clear spells in Scotland, but showers south and east at first. Lows at 4 to 8C.

Saturday
Low pressure over northern England on Saturday, brings plenty of clouds and outbreaks of shabby rain across much of Ireland, northern England and eastern Scotland. It should be brighter for more southern parts of England and Wales. More persistent rain arriving in southwest England later in the day, with some heavy showers in western Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 12 to 17C.

Sunday
A messy day of weather on Sunday as low pressure dominates. There will be periods of thundery rain over Wales, central and southern England, rather murky too. Heavy showers developing in Scotland and Ireland. Drier elsewhere with some bright spells breaking through the cloud. The best sunshine is expected in northern England. Warm in the sunshine at 16C, but 10 to 12C in the cloud.
