A fair start to Sunday for many areas. The best sunshine in England, Wales and southern Ireland. Cloud tending to be thickening in northern and western Scotland with some drizzle in the far northwest by the afternoon. The cloud slips into Ireland and northern England as the day progresses, but it should be staying dry. The best of the sunshine again in the far south although even here it will be clouding over in the evening. Highs at 23C in southern England, 19C in southern Ireland, 22C in eastern Scotland but just 12C in the cloudier northwest of Scotland.

Sunday Night
Rain and showers may affect Northern Ireland and northern England tonight. Cloudier skies for the rest of England, Wales and Ireland but dry. Clearer skies moving into Scotland, a few showers in the northwest. Lows at 6C in central Scotland, 11C in southern England.

Monday
A weak front brings rain and some cloud to northern England early on Monday morning. This should be clearing east and then most areas will be dry. Cloudy skies for much of the rest of England, Wales and southern Ireland. Brighter skies in Scotland, some good sunny spells here. The afternoon sees broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells for many. Cloudier for southern Irland, southwest Wales and southwest England. A chance of a few spots of rain in northern Scotland where it will be breezy too. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.

Tuesday
A front passing south on Tuesday bringing rain to Scotland, Ireland and northern England in the early morning. This then passes through Wales and the Midlands in the afternoon, reaching southern areas of England late afternoon and evening. Brighter weather follows to the north of the rain band, although some heavy showers developing in Scotland and the north and west of Ireland. A brisk northwesterly wind. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England, typically 15 to 17C for most.
